By 1954 Doris Day had risen to the rank of superstar. She made two movies that year -- "Lucky Me" and "Young at Heart." the following year, in "Love Me or Leave Me," she starred as Ruth Etting in the fictionalized screen biography of this singing sensation of the 1920s.
